The following case studies cover the diversity of work that Claire and Andrew have undertaken and been responsible for at Bean Designed and previously at John R Paley Associates.

Salcombe House, Collingham. This was a new build 5 bedroomed home on an infill plot within a well-established residential area, completed in December 2012. The house was designed to complement the surrounding homes through the use of random natural stone walls and asymmetrical elements. The design was given a softer contemporary feel with the creation of an airy south facing family space, the use of green oak boarding to the front gables, Oak front door and the use of pastel green window frames. The house was constructed using the Kingspan SIPS system and featured underfloor heating and an MHVR system.

The Congreves, Bardsey. This 1960’s 3 bedroomed pebble-dashed home was given a new lease of life, with several extensions, internal remodelling and a whole house refit. The remodelled 4 bedroomed, 2 bathroomed home complemented the surrounding homes through its use of materials, whilst its large anthracite windows and chalk white render presented a modern appearance.

Roseminian House, Clifford. A careful restoration of this Grade II Listed building was undertaken to create a stunning 4 bedroomed home. Attention to detail was key in bringing life back into this three storey residence, working closely with the stonemasons and Conservation Officer.

Private Residence, Leeds. This bespoke dwelling was designed as an exacting response to the Clients Brief. This stunning new 4 bedroomed home includes a large triple garage, indoor swimming pool and leisure complex and staff annex.

Fox Lane, Wakefield. This small derelict Grade II Listed barn was carefully converted into a 1 bedroomed home for our Client. A clever use of space, along with detailed design touches has delivered a fabulous new home.
